Predicted Soloist Waves
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the table work?
In this table, you’ll find the fastest Qualifying time we have on record for you.
We’ve used this Qualifying time to offer you a predicted wave for the Event based on the Qualifying times we have so far, as well as based on the 2023 Event’s wave allocations.
Keep in mind, this is just a prediction and your predicted wave will change right up until race numbers are distributed.
We update this table every Monday following a WA Qualifying Event listed on our Qualifying Swims page.
My Qualifying time isn’t here. What do I do?
If you’ve only just Qualified, give us a week to collect and update the results.
If you completed a Qualifying Swim over 7 days ago but cannot see it in this table, please send us a link to your Qualifying swim results via query@rottnestchannelswim.com.au.
What do I do if something doesn’t look right?
If your Qualifying pace looks incorrect, please send us a link to your Qualifying swim results via query@rottnestchannelswim.com.au.
Please note, we will use the per/km pace of your fastest qualifying swim, regardless of the distance or swim conditions. Once race numbers are allocated, these cannot be changed.
I’m a Team/Duo swimmer. Why am I not on the list?
If you’re a Team or Duo swimmer, we haven’t included you in the table as your race number is based on your registration category and/or total team age on the date of the Event.
This number can be found in your Active registration under “Bib Number”. Please reach out to the team via query@rottnestchannelswim.com.au if you’d like us to let you know this number.
How does Qualifying work for Tandem Swimmers?
If you’re a Tandem Solo swimmer, we will use the fastest Qualifying time of the slowest swimmer in your Tandem.
Remember, both swimmers must qualify individually. If one swimmer has qualified, but another has not, you will both be counted as “Yet to Qualify” below.
When will my Race Number be allocated?
Race Numbers will be distributed after the 26th of January, but before the Metro Safety Briefing. Swimmers will be emailed their race number. This information is also able to be viewed within your Active registration.
