Celebrate Your Solo Crossing with RCS Licence Plates
Completing a solo Rottnest Channel Crossing is an incredible achievement and what better way to showcase it than with your very own RCS licence plates!
What Are RCS Licence Plates?
- Every solo swimmer receives a Rottnest Channel Swim Association Membership number
- These numbers are sequential, starting from the very first swimmer to complete the crossing.
- Your membership number will proudly appear on your licence plates.
NEW Plate Applications
If You’ve Recently Completed a Solo Crossing:
- Your membership number will be emailed to you along with a link to the licence plate application.
If You’ve Completed a Solo Crossing Previously:
- Purchase your plates HERE.
- After purchase, you’ll receive an application form via email.
- Complete the form and email it with your receipt to query@rottnestchannelswim.com.au.
- RCSA will handle the next steps with the WA Licensing Centre.
Important Details
- All applications must be submitted to the RCSA Office for authorisation before lodging with the Licensing Centre.
- Cost: $450.00
- Processing Time: 8–10 weeks after applications are sent to the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI).
- Once your form is submitted to the DTMI, the RCSA are not kept aware of the progress of your plates.
Once Your Plates Are Ready
- The DTMI will post a letter directly to you to let you know your plates are ready for collection at the licensing centre you nominated on your form.
- When you collect your new RCS license plates, you’ll be required to surrender your existing plates.
REMAKE Damaged or Faded Plates
- If your plates are damaged, you can order a replacement via the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure.
- You will be required to fill in a Application for plate remake/transfer and submit it along with payment to the DTMI.
- Note: lost or stolen plates cannot be remade.
