2026 Competition Now Open

The 2026 South32 Rottnest Channel Swim Shirt Design Competition is NOW OPEN!

We’re on the lookout for bold, creative designs that capture the thrill and spirit of the Swim, whether you’re in the water, part of the support crew, or cheering from the shore.

Let your creativity flow, there’s no need to stick to RCSA’s brand colours or the black lines. Surprise us with something unforgettable!  All entries must comply with the competition entry requirements as noted below.

The Prize

The winner will receive:

  • A choice of either a complimentary entry into their chosen category for the 2026 South32 Rottnest Channel Swim or a cash prize of AUD $500.00.
  • Acknowledgement in the official 2026 Yearbook

  • A complimentary official Event Shirt.

Design Requirments

  • Only four colours can be used and must be printable in block colour (white can be used as a fifth colour).
  • The design must be of A4 size in portrait orientation.
  • The design is for the back/reverse side of the Event Shirt ONLY.
  • The design may also be used for other purposes including other merchandise (not limited to the stubby holder and race packs) and/or promotional material.
  • The official naming rights sponsor, South32’s copyright logo may be added to the final design, at the discretion of the RCSA.
  • The design must be the artist’s original work.
  • If the design features any reference to cultural elements or similar, the artist must ensure they are permitted to do so.
  • The design must be provided in high-resolution PDF.
  • The design must be available in a format which separates each colour layer (e.g. PSD or AI file).
  • The design must include PMS colours.

    Competition Terms and Conditions

    • All entrants are welcome, regardless of their residential address or age.
    • All entrants agree to these terms and conditions, upon submission of their design.
    • Entrants can submit one entry only per person, per year.
    • Only four colours can be used and must be printable in block colour (white can be used as a fifth colour).
    • The design must be of A4 size in portrait orientation.
    • The design is for the back/reverse side of the Event Shirt ONLY – nothing can be printed on the front. The front is reserved for the year, Event logo and sponsor logos.
    • The design may also be used for other purposes including other merchandise (not limited to the stubby holder and race packs) and/or promotional material.
    • The official naming rights sponsor, South32’s copyright logo may be added to the final design, at the discretion of the RCSA.
    • The design must be the artist’s original work.
    • If the design features any reference to cultural elements or similar, the artist must ensure they are permitted to do so.
    • The design must be provided in high-resolution PDF.
    • The design must be available in a format which separates each colour layer (e.g. PSD or AI file).
    • The design must include PMS colours.
    • The RCSA will own the copyright of the design.
    • The RCSA may use the concept, part of or whole design.
    • The artist will be contacted if any changes are to be made to the design.
    • Entries must include the entrant’s full name, age, postal address, email and contact number.
    • The RCSA will choose the successful design entirely at its discretion, from the submitted entries, or from other proposals whether or not part of this competition, or may not choose any design at all.
    • Entrants shall have no claim whatsoever against the RCSA for anything or any costs incurred, or any other matter arising out of this competition.
    • The competition opens 9:00am Wednesday, 1 May and closes 5:00pm Monday, 5th May 2025 (AWST). Late entries will not be accepted.
    • The RCSA reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of this competition
      without notice.
