About the Event

Who Runs It

The Rottnest Channel Swim Association (RCSA) provides pools and swimming groups, locally and internationally, with everything they need to host their own Virtual South32 Rottnest Channel Swim.

Events are managed by local pools and swimming clubs, including registrations and event-day logistics.

If you have questions about a Virtual Swim event, contact your local pool or swimming club directly. You can also view participating pools here.

Dates

Most pools and swimming groups will hold their event on the same day as the 2026 South32 Rottnest Channel Swim: Saturday, 21 February 2026.
However, some may choose a different date—check with your local pool or swimming group for confirmation.

Categories
Virtual Swim categories include:

  • Solo (continuous) – Complete in one day (aged 14+)
  • Solo (lap accrual) – Swim over six weeks (Sunday 11 January – Saturday 21 February 2026) (aged 14+)
  • Duos – 2 swimmers (aged 14+)
  • Team of 4 – 4 swimmers (aged 14+)
  • Novelty Team – Up to 10 swimmers (aged 10+)

Your local pool/swimming group will provide all forms to record laps and times. After the event, they’ll submit results to RCSA so they can be displayed on the South32 Rottnest Channel Swim website.
