Curtin University: Shoulder Pain Research

Curtin University is seeking participants for a research on shoulder pain developed from swimming. The research team are hoping to gain a better understanding of the mechanism of injury through looking at the thickness of the shoulder muscles of swimmers with and without shoulder pain.

For the research, participants will undergo a 20 minute ultrasound of their shoulders and complete two questionnaires.
Curtin University is looking for adults both with and without shoulder pain who swim at least 2km per session 1-2 times a week.

If you are interested in assisting with this research, please contact Sian via sian.williams@curtin.edu.au or (08) 9266 3660 for further screening and booking. The whole assessment will be carried out at Curtin University and time and date of assessment can be fixed accordingly to the volunteer’s convenience. Free parking will be arranged.
