Boat and Skipper Available 2017 Rottnest Channel Swim

Post by RobnPhil »

My brother and I are in our mid 30's we have a 19ft fibreglass boat, with transom ladder access, and a reliable 4 year old motor. We both have WA skippers tickets, current first aid, are good swimmers and are experienced on the water.

We've never completed the rotto swim but are very keen to be involved in 2017. As Perth locals we are experienced navigating and fishing in the open water offshore from Perth and have all the latest navigation gear and all required safety gear.

If you require a kayaker we likely could arrange that with a bloke who completed kayak support last year.

Costs are basically just covering our costs (fuel/ oil/ ice/ landing fees/ lunch etc) We might be able to bring you back to mainland and drop you back home\ hotelon the Sunday but we need to figure mooring/ accommodation on the day - tba...

We've already had a number interested then go awol and we dont want to commit to someone whos not serious and have someone else miss out. Hence we require a small deposit (happy to do an eBay sale or deposit via PayPal (Buyer Protection) to help assure you that we will deliver).

Really looking forward to participating, helping you complete the swim safely and having an awesome time of it. Rob 0431 894 425 click to reveal (leave a message or text if no answer - likely at work).

I am also a first timer swimming solo and would love to have you guys as part of my swim. It would be great if we could be. Team and help each other get through the event. What do think?

Hi RobnPhil,

Will you be able to provide a boat and skipper for Rottnest February 2018 ? I've entered the swim today. I live in London the UK, but am actually moving to Melbourne later this year. I swam the Gibraltar Strait earlier this year but am keen to get Rottnest under my belt too. My partner will probably come on the boat but it would be handy if you knew a paddler also.

Feel free to message and let me know prices etc.

Thanks,

Liz
